Hawk and the Wild is a singer, songwriter & human rights activist

Hawk and the Wild is a singer/songwriter whose real name is Jimmy Wiltfalk. As soon as he picked up an instrument, his interest for writing his own music emerged. The indie-folk and roots style has only been his focus for the last couple of years. His debut album Extrication Songs was released in 2016 with a release tour following in Sweden. During the past years, Hawk and Wild has written and recorded more songs.  He plans to feature previous singles, Shoot to The Sky, Ocean Watch, and The Wave on the album “Life and Death of Old Mrs. Ocean”. The first singles, The Wave and Ocean Watch, has already gained great success on streaming platforms and across internet radio, music blogs and magazines.

Jimmy writes all music and lyrics while recording most of it in his own home studio. He also plays most live gigs alone as a one-man band, but he is sometimes accompanied by fellow musicians. When he is not playing music or scribbling a new song, he is riding board or speaking for human rights or environmental protection; a commitment often noticed in the lyrics of his songs.  His commitment to human rights and environmental protection drew attention from the antiracist social media charity project and single, “The dream is still alive”.  Hawk and Wild released a video for that single on YouTube and the song is also streaming on Spotify/iTunes. The song hit #1 on the Swedish Independent Music Chart and the music video has had great success in Germany, France, and England.
